Events Section

 The PRO ARTE Foundation holds about 250 events annually. Those include lectures, master classes, exhibitions, concerts and conferences at PRP ARTE premises and in Peter and Paul Fortress, but also in other museums, galleries and concert halls in St. Petersburg, Moscow, Krasnoyarsk, Pertrozavodsk, Vyborg, and other Russian cities.

Peter Noever, designer, curator-at-large for art, architecture and media. From 1986 to 2011, he was Artistic Director and CEO of the MAK (Austrian Museum for Applied Arts / Contemporary Art), Vienna / Los Angeles. He implemented a radical new content and the general adaptation of the MAK, commissioning selected internationally renowned artists for artistic interventions.
He was guest professor of design analysis at the Academy of Fine Arts, Vienna (1975–1993), and guest professor of museology at the Academy of Applied Arts, Vienna (1988–1989). Publisher and editor-in-chief of the architecture magazine UMRISS (1989–1994). 
1994 Founder of the MAK Center for Art and Architecture, Los Angeles, California together with the international Schindler Artists and Architects in Residence-Program and the MAK Urban-Future-Initiative UFI. In 2001 Peter Noever and David Sarkisyan established the Cooperation MAK / MUAR, Shusev State Museum of Architecture, Moscow. In 2006 he initiated and founded the Josef Hoffmann Museum in Brtnice, Czech Republic.

For the 5th Biennale di Architettura in Venezia, 1996 Peter Noever's land art project The Pit was selected by Günther Feuerstein (commissoner of the Austrian Pavillion). At the 7th Biennale di Architettura in Venice (2000) he was Juror together with Dejan Sudjic, Charles Correa et al.; in 2010 at the 12th Biennale di Architettura work of his was selected for the  Austrian pavilion and together with Hernan Diaz Alonso, Wolf D. Prix and Eric Owen Moss he joined the Panel Discussion upon the opening of the Austrian Pavillion.
At the 54th Biennale Arte 2011 in Venice Noever curated site specific indoor and outdoor installations Glasstress at the Palazzo Cavalli Franchetti in cooperation with Erwin Wurm, Zaha Hadid, Michael Kienzer, Magdalena Jetelova, Koen Vanmechelen, Kendell Geers and also a solo show koen vanmechelen: Nato a Venezia at the Palazzo Loredan.

In 2014 he curated the Archive Austria Vienna for Art’s Sake!. A large scale exhibition under the same title will take place at the Winter Palace/Belvedere Vienna in February 2015. In preparation for 2014/15 Contemporary in Germany.
