F.M. Dostoyevsky Literary-Memorial Museum – opened in 1971 in the writer’s last apartment, where he wrote “The Karamazov Brothers” and prepared his famous “Pushkin Speech”. The Museum consists of several parts: Dostoevsky’s memorial apartment, literature exposition telling about his life and work, several exhibition halls displaying contemporary art and a theatre that stages performances of the “Bely Theatre” of Dostoevsky Museum and other Petersburg theatres; it also houses concerts and soirees.
