The “Carriage” installation is linked to authors previous experiments with light, glass, rotating mechanisms, shadows, reflections, video-projections, noises and effect-modelling. It comes as a result of the artist observing beauty and variety in the simple geometrical forms, light and shade interaction; it also covers his experiences of endless nights spent in overnight trains from St.Petersburg to Moscow. The Museum chosen for the project had a huge impact on the artist when he was a child: children still adore it. This is the reason why the project, being minimalist and austere, works as an entertaining and theatrical attraction as well.
