St. Petersburg Water Museum
history and technology museum occupies an old water tower of the Main Waterworks. The museum offers a survey of the city water-supply and sewage history. The collection mainly comprises historical drafts and documents, various devices and pieces of equipment, such as instruments, hatches and cleanout plates, pipes, fire hydrants, pumps, plugs, water-gauges. One may also find pieces of antique sanitary porcelain and various objects connected with water-usage. At present the Museum boasts of more that two thousand exhibits. The exposition includes contemporary installation projects and a multi-media complex “St.Petersburg Underground World”.
