KINODANCE 2006 at the PRO ARTE Institute
Dance Video Installation “Men in the Wall” directed and choreographed by
Liz Aggiss and Billy Cowie (UK)
is a four- creen 3-dimensional stereoscopic screen dance installation, commissioned by Arts Council Capture 3 that re-defines dance screen practice. Special stereoscopic glasses are provided to watch this 3D world of four men, whose shared framed lives reveal a public quartet of private differences. The piece runs on a continuous 25-minute loop.
David Hinton Workshop (UK), one of the most celebrated directors working in dance film today. He is known to the Russian audiences for his award-winning, controversial and challenging films with DV8 Physical Theatre «Dead Dreams of the Monochrome Man» and «Strange Fish». David Hinton is also a founder of Dance Film Academy in London – one of the very first academic institutions dedicated specifically to dance film collaborations.
Master Classes with Charles Atlas (USA), a maverick filmmaker from New York who over his prolific life has created over 100 films and, for over 10 years, collaborated with legendary modern dance choreographer Merce Cunningham.
