NEW TECHNOLOGIES IN MUSIC
The programme was launched in October 2003 in collaboration with the Moscow Theremin Centre by the State Conservatory. It includes master-classes, lectures, concerts, independent activities in studios. The programme addresses those practically involved in electroacoustic music and sound-art. It includes practical training by professionals, master-classes by leading Russian and international experts as well as independent study and work on projects and participation in festivals and presentations. Lectures on the history, aesthetics and theory of electronic and electroacoustics are intended for a broader audience.
In October 2005 in frame of the program the project CNMRG (Computer & New Music Research Group) was opened – the music studio of the PRO ARTE Institute. CNMRG unites young musicians and sound-artists for creating musical projects and sound installations.
