St Petersburg-based artist Anastasia Kizilova will speak about the impact of political, social, and economic environment on art discourse, discuss an alternative economy in production of art, share her art practice and announce a new project — “Good evening, Mr. Orwell”.
Anastasia Kizilova graduated from the St Petersburg Stieglitz State Academy of Art and Design, the department of costume design. She is ecofeminist and works with socially engaged art. Took part in the XXII International Triennial of Contemporary Art in Milan (2019), the Death is Ecosex exhibition at the Atelier Mondial in Basel (2019), the 7th Moscow International Biennale of Contemporary Art (2017-2018), the 4th Ural Industrial Biennale parallel programme (2017), MANIFESTA 10 parallel programme (2014), the Contemporary Art in a Traditional Museum festival, and numerous group exhibitions in Russia, Germany, and Finland.
