Peter Belyi is a St Petersburg-based artists, he works mainly with installation and object. In 2014, Belyi won the Innovation Prize for the Best Curatorial Project — Signal exhibition (together with Alexander Terebenin), in 2009 — Sergey Kuryokhin Prize for the Best Visual Art Project — Silence installation, he is a recipient of the Birgit Skiold Prize (2003), Gavin Graham Gallery Award (2002) and Galleries Magazine Award (2000), all — at the National Print Exhibition in London.
Peter Belyi is a founder and curator of the ongoing non-commercial independent art research project LUDA Gallery. His curatorial practice is mostly focused on archives and on researching regional independent art in Russia and around the world and discovering new, previously unknown artists and communities of practice.
