The School for Young Artists participate in the call for art projects for the 13th CYFEST International Media Art Festival, which is scheduled for 2021. Cyland Media Art Lab’s engineers Alexey Grachev and Alexander Bochkov will discuss and give advice on the technical issues of the art projects that the artists have developed for the 13th CYFEST Festival.
Alexey Grachev is a sound artist, engineer, and computer programmer. Since 2010, he is Technical Director and Chief Engineer at the Cyland Media Art Laboratory (St Petersburg, Russia). Grachev’s art practice includes sound art, interactive, kinetic, and media objects, and installation. He participated in numerous group projects and exhibitions in Russia, Germany, UK, including World Event Young Artists in 2012 in Nottingham, UK, 6th Moscow International Biennale of Contemporary Art in 2015, and CYFEST International Media Art Festivals in St Petersburg, Russia. Alexey Grachev graduated from Bauman Moscow State Technical University (Branch in Kaluga, Russia) and studied at the PRO ARTE Foundation’s School for Young Artists in 2014-2015. He lives and works in St Petersburg, Russia.
Alexander Bochkov is an engineer and computer programmer at the Cyland Media Art Laboratory. He lives and works in St Petersburg, Russia.
